Unit I

Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1940, & its regulations in 1945:

Descriptions of Objectives, Definitions Legal definitions of the schedules to Act as well as Rules

Import of drugs – Definitions of cosmetics & substances that aren’t allowed to import. Import with a license or permit. Penalties & violations.

Production of drugs – Prohibition on the sale & production of certain substances.
