Unit I

• Classification of cosmetics & cosmeceuticals products Definition of cosmetics according to Indian & EU regulations & the development of cosmeceuticals made from cosmetics that are also quasi & OTC products.
• cosmetic excipients, surfactants, & humectants, as well as rheology-modifying agents Preservatives, emollients, & emollients. 
• Skin: The design & function of human skin. 
• Hair: The hair’s basic structure. The process of growing hair. 
• Oral Cavity: a common condition that is related to dental gums, teeth, & gums.

Unit 2

• Principles of formulation & building blocks of skincare products: Face wash, Moisturizing cream, Cold Cream, Vanishing cream & their advantages & disadvantages. Application of these products in the formulation of cosmeceuticals.
• Antiperspirants & deodorants: actives & their mechanism of action. 
• Principles of formulation & building blocks of Haircare products: Conditioning shampoo, Hair conditioner, anti-dandruff shampoo. Hair oils. The chemical as well as the formulation of para-phenylenediamine-based hair dye. The fundamentals of formulation & the base of oral health products for bleeding gums, Toothpaste, & sensitive teeth. Tooth whitening & Mouthwash.

Unit 3

• Protection from the sun. Classification of Sunscreens & SPF. 
• Herbs in cosmetics for Skin Treatment: Turmeric & Aloe Shampoo: Alma & Henna. Oral treatment Clove & Neem. 
• Cosmetics that contain the analytical element: requirements & analytical methods for creams that are suitable for facial skincare, shampoo, & toothpaste.

Unit 4

• Principles of Cosmetic Assessment: Submeter Principles, Chronometer. The evaluation of the TEWL & skin color hair tensile strength, and hair combing properties, soaps. The advantages that evolution has on the skin.

Unit 5

• Dry & oily skin may dry out the skin & provide moisture to the skin. The basic understanding of Dermatitis & comedogenic. Hair-related issues that impact the appearance of the scalp & hair loss & dandruff can lead to cosmetic issues due to skin issues such as acne, wrinkles, acne blemishes burning body odor, & heat. Antiperspirants & deodorants – active ingredients & the mechanism behind their action.
